スポーツ整形外科医としてのトレーニング
スポーツ整形外科の入り口はアメリカ・ボストンの地での臨床研修です（ハーバードメディカルスクールDr.Mininder Kocher）。その後、京都下鴨病院にて山下文治先生（自家骨軟骨柱移植術を世界に先駆けて行った医師）の指導を受け、その時に内田宗志先生（産業医科大学若松病院）の指導を受けました。Evidence-Based Medicine（根拠のある医療）の発祥の地McMaster大学院に留学し（指導医：Dr. Olufemi Ayeni：KSSTA editor-in-chief, 2024カナダ整形外科学会理事長）、スポーツ整形外科の治療方針、EBM (Evidence-Based Medicine）を学びました。その後、肩脱臼手術で近年スポットライトが当てられているDr. Ivan Wongの元に留学。彼の肩脱臼手術をマスター・コピーし、現在、東京TOKYOならびに長野Nagano・さいたまSaitamaで診療・関節鏡手術を行っています。
手術への責任と術後フォローアップ
手術に取り組む姿勢としては、患者自身の3D肩関節・膝関節モデルを作成し、手術前計画をおこないます（手術後、患者さんに3D肩関節・膝関節モデルはプレゼントします）。手術ビデオ（関節内ビデオ）を撮影し、患者さんと共有します。将来のフォローアップで、他の部分が問題となった場合は、その手術ビデオを参考に、対応します。手術で終わりではなく、手術後、1年・5年・10年とフォローアップしていきます。その時代の最新の医療知識と医療技術を提供し、肩関節・膝関節のメインテナンスに努めます。手術治療は、車屋さんの修理に例えますと、修理で終わりではなく、その後のメインテナンスが非常に大切になります。覚悟と責任を持って、手術ならびに将来に対する経過フォローを行います。
